STEPS offers a unique approach to recovery. We are a Community whose motto is “Work is Hope”. We are dedicated to restoring the addict and/or alcoholic to a sober, useful and civil life.

Our 90 day Residential Program is offered free of charge to qualified candidates. Our program includes 12-Step Recovery, Therapeutic Work, Life Skills Training and Employment. We believe it is imperative that guests work towards becoming self-supporting through their own efforts.

Are you a Candidate?

STEPS has a Residential program for men that requires:

A little sobriety (we are not a Detox), a physical ability to do therapeutic work, and a great deal of willingness to participate in the 12-Step Recovery process. Since this program is free, we expect you to be highly motivated and willing to follow the rules of the farm and work in cooperation with other members of our intentional community.

Since this program is offered at no financial cost to you we expect you to contribute to the Community by your cooperation, physical effort, observance of the rules, attendance at 12 Step Meetings, and most of all we insist that you be highly motivated and dedicated to your Recovery.

Are you a Friend or Family Member of a Possible Candidate?

Please review the requirements listed above and have the candidate himself demonstrate his willingness by getting in touch with one of our counselors.

Are you a Service Provider or Health Care Professional?

Please know that we use the 12-Step model of recovery. That means we operate a Cognitive Recovery Program that requires total abstinence and preferably a minimum of psychiatric medication. If you have a client that suits the requirements above we would be glad to have a referral.
